Tiffenia Archie, Ph.D | Assistant Vice President
Tiffenia Archie has worked in higher education for more than 20 years in a variety of positions. Affectionately known as “Tiff,” students and colleagues look to her for direction in advancing social justice.
Though she lectures on a number of topics, most of her research involves issues related to race, class and gender, with a focus on minority faculty, staff, and student recruitment and retention, racial microaggressions, and African-American Muslim women and veiling. Archie holds an undergraduate degrees in psychology and sociology and earned her PhD in sociology from Temple.
Valerie C. Dudley, Ph.D | Director of Multicultural Education and Training
Valerie Dudley’s 30 years in higher education includes service in financial aid, human resources services, diversity education, and teaching and learning centers.
She is committed to enhancing diversity and inclusion through education. As IDEAL’s director of multicultural education and training, Dudley initiates dialogues and trainings on topics such as race, class, gender, religion and sexual orientation.
Dudley earned her undergraduate degree in political science from Cheyney State University, her master of education administration degree from Antioch University and her PhD in instructional systems from the College of Education at Pennsylvania State University.
Nu'Rodney T. Prad, M.S. | Director of Student Engagement
As the Director of Student Engagement, Nu'Rodney supports the social, cultural, and academic development of students by providing advocacy and referral services tailored to meet the needs of TU’s diverse population, works in collaboration with appointed members of the Student Advisory Coalition on Diversity and Social Justice Programming to coordinate initiatives meant to advance cultural awareness on campus and engages and invites the broader TU community into the process of encouraging inclusivity on campus.
Nu'Rodney is a native of Montgomery, AL and earned his bachelors degree in political science and a master's of science in college student personnel administration from The University of Central Arkansas.
Tomas Sanchez, J.D. | Director of Business Relations and Procurement
Sanchez graduated from Philadelphia’s Central High School before attending Harvard University where he earned a bachelor's degree. He went on to earn his juris doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
Among other positions, he has served as chief of staff to a member of the City Council of Philadelphia, a founding member and executive director of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, and a government affairs representative for PECO Energy.
Lizet Ortiz-Scales | Administrative Specialist
Lizet Ortiz-Scales has worked at Temple University since 1990 in several departments, including the offices of the executive vice president, chief financial officer, the vice president for operations, and the Office of Undergraduate Admissions prior to coming to IDEAL in 2011. Lizet is responsible for the administrative functions of the office and loves working with the populations the office serves.
Born to Puerto Rican emigrants from Salinas, Lizet was raised in North Philadelphia and graduated from Jules Mastbaum Vocational/Technical High School and Thompson Technical School.
