Become an Advocate
Safe Zone is designed to foster an affirming campus environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual identifying students, faculty and staff. This two-part interactive training totaling five hours to recieve the certification.
After successfully completing Safe Zone I and Safe Zone II workshops, participants are considered an Advocate and provided with a plaque. The title of Advocate indicates acceptance of LGBTQIA+ identities and a commitment to working against discrimination directed towards the community.
