Programming and Dialogues

Our team offers programming, immersive experiences, and dialogues through a holistic and intersectional approach to advance the learning goals listed below.

Identity Exploration

In university settings, students begin their journey of self-discovery by asking, "Who am I?" This exploration fosters a critical approach to understanding their interactions with others and how they perceive themselves socially. Developing identity awareness is crucial as it helps students navigate diverse perspectives and build inclusive relationships on campus and beyond.

Authentic Conversations

Students will engage in authentic conversations to explore and deepen their understanding of their own and others' identities. Utilizing a "brave space" approach, students will cultivate an environment conducive to removing societal masks and fostering trust and empathy. These conversations are vital in diversity, equity, and inclusion as they promote mutual understanding and collective action towards a more just and inclusive society.

Civilty

Fostering civility can nurture an environment grounded in responsibility and mutual respect as students explore diverse values and belief systems. Developing a foundational understanding of their identities equips students with strategies to engage effectively in civic contexts, collaborating with individuals of varying ideologies and identities. This approach promotes inclusive civic engagement and constructive dialogue across diverse perspectives.

Foster Belonging

Students will actively engage in activities and discussions to cultivate a strong sense of belonging within the university community. Through reflection and participation in inclusive initiatives, students will develop the skills and mindset necessary to create welcoming environments where all individuals feel valued, respected, and supported in their academic and personal journeys.
