• Mentor approximately 2–3 first-year Fellows during the 8-week program period
• Conduct regular check-ins with assigned Fellows to provide guidance, support, and resource referrals
• Host and facilitate programming during the initial 8 weeks of the fall semester
• Conduct 2–5 office hours throughout the 8-week program period
• Serve as a peer resource and connector to campus services and support systems
• Support Fellows in navigating academic, social, and campus engagement opportunities
• Attend routine supervision meetings with the Graduate Assistant of Student Engagement and Belonging
• Represent the Office of IDEAL in a professional and inclusive manner
• Participate in required training and development sessions
• Submit required administrative documentation related to mentoring and program planning
• Other duties as reasonably assigned

• Assist in planning and executing engagement programs for first-year students
• Develop and deliver presentations as needed during the 8-week experience
• Maintain communication with supervisors regarding Fellow progress and concerns
• Complete assigned tasks and program deliverables by designated deadlines
• Track mentorship interactions and program participation as required

• Must be enrolled in a Temple University program as a matriculated student
• Completion of Safe Zone Certification (required)
• Participation in Student Engagement Training
• Completion of the Gallup Strengths Assessment
• Ability to navigate, review, and create presentations
• Candidate should not have any unresolved student conduct violations
• Must be in good academic and financial standing

• Position active from August through October (First-Year Experience 8-week period)
• Regular supervision meetings with IDEAL leadership
• Required participation in Student Engagement training prior to program launch
