Dr. Archie has worked in higher education for more than 25 years in a variety of positions. Affectionately known as “Tiff,” students and colleagues look to her for direction in advancing social justice.
Though she lectures on a number of topics, most of her research involves issues related to race, class and gender, with a focus on minority faculty, staff, and student recruitment and retention, racial microaggressions, and African-American Muslim women and veiling. Archie holds an undergraduate degrees in psychology and sociology and earned her PhD in sociology from Temple.
